Established in 1991, Kira was created by a group of parents who had children with disabilities.
Their goal: to improve the lives of people living with disability by providing the social opportunities and real-life experiences that existing disability services were unable or unwilling to provide.
This makes Kira a bit special
Because Kira was created by parents of people living with disability, for people living with disability and their families, it means Kira feels less like a service provider, and more like extended family.
It means we understand that life with disability is full of trials and triumphs. And like all the best families, we’re here to help you every step of the way, through the ups and downs.
It means we measure success in smiles, and every new smile-stone marks a step on a journey you define. We enable you to not only live with disability, but thrive with it.
Whatever you need, wherever you are
Our services and our team have come a long way since 1991, evolving with our members, for our members.
Today, we provide disability services, respite care options and supported accommodation for members and families from across Perth’s northern suburbs, from Maylands to Yanchep and as far east as Henley Brook.
If you’re in Perth’s northern corridor and are looking for disability support that’s all about you – your life, your goals, your choices – tell us what services you need to live the life you want.
